IKS ACTIVITY

The department organized Introduction to students Basic Sanskrit shlokas and Mantras under IKS Activity.Students chanted mantras and Omkar jap to regenerate mind and soul energy. Total 62 students attended this activity. This activity organized by Ms. Rachana Sangeeta Rao(Program coordinator ) and Mrs. Garima Tiwari(IKS Coordinator). Resourse person for this activity are Mrs.Deepali Rane (Computer department) and Mrs. Arti Utikar (Instrumentation Department).
IQAC EXTERNAL AUDIT

The IQAC External Academic Audit of Sem-I, AY 2023-24 was conducted by Prof Dr J V Kulkarni, Professor in Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune on 28/11/2023. The points audited during the audit are course files of each course coordinator, academic planning & execution, and innovation in the teaching-learning process. Also, the expert emphasized the involvement of students and the outcomes of the teaching and learning process.

ONE WEEK TRAINING ON "BASICS OF PLC AND HMI"

Department has Organized one week short term training program on “Basics of PLC and HMI” for third year Instrumentation Students (08-12 August 2023). Total 50 students have attended the workshop. The expert was department alumni Mr. Saurabh Mane (2023 Batch Pass out), Proprietor, Softcontrol Automation, Katraj, Pune. The organizing member was Dr. Yogesh Patil.

Participation in ISA Pune Section - Process Automation Conference 2023

ISA celebrate its foundation day 28th April 1945 as an International Automation Professional Day. International Society of Automation, Pune section has hosted a Conference on Process Measurement, Controls and Automation themed “Driving Manufacturing Excellence through Process Automation”. On behalf of our ISA Students Chapter of Department, Dr B B Musmade, Faculty Advisor, and two student representatives of Chapter Mr Eric Fernandes, President and Mr Prathamesh Kale, program Chair attended the one day Conference at Hotel Tip Top International, Wakad, Pune.

Inauguration event of ISA DYPCOE and ISA benefits session by Mr. H. S. Pansare (ISA Pune Section President and Managing Di-rector of Logicon Technosolutions Pvt. Ltd., Dr. Mrs. Swati Madhe (ISA Pune Student Section Liaison), Mr. Shridhar Kulkarni ( ISA Pune section Webmaster Chair and Alumni 2018 Batch). Felicitation of Office Bearers of ISA DYPCOE by ISA Pune Section officials was organized. The session included, ISA student membership benefits, ISA Connect program facility, ISA Scholarship opportunities, Facility to Final Year ISA student members to become free young professional ISA membership for one year after their expiry of Student membership and Internship facility. Expert Lecture on "Future of Instrumentation & Control "

Department has organized an expert alumni lecture for TE & BE students on the topic: Future of Instrumentation & Control. Alumni interaction with students: Anil Nair (First batch 1998 pass out), Gate All India Rank 1 (AIR1) 1998 with 99.87 percentile, MTech , IIT Bombay and MBA IIM Ahmedabad; interacted with third year and final years students. He gave insight to the students regarding the future of Instrumentation & Control students in diverse fields like Process, Embedded Systems, IoT, Artificial Intelligence. He emphasized on the skills sets required for these diverse fields and guided the students the ways to prepare for developing the skills. Total 58 students have attended the lecture.

Inauguration of Center Of Excellence in Distributed Control System

Department has organized offline & online inauguration ceremony of Center Of Excellence in Distributed Control System: Hands on training on DeltaV DCS in Industrial Automation. The event was carried out by the hands of Mr. Abhay Bansod, Director, Emerson India, Pune, & in the presence of honorable Campus Director Dr. Neeraj Vyavahare, Principal Dr. Vijay M. Wadhai & department faculty. 102 Students & 9 alumni joined the event in online mode. The center of excellence(COE) will provide platform for hands on training, project work, research activities & industry collaborative studies to students & faculty. Emerson India has donated full set up of DeltaV DCS which costs 22 Lakhs.
