The department of Civil Engineering is established in the year 1986. It is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and has received NBA Accreditation in Year 2003 &2008 for 3 Yrs.. Current intake for UG is 120 first shift and 60 second shift.

The department laboratories are fully equipped with latest equipments, licensed softwares and all necessary teaching aids. It has experienced and dynamic faculty members and experienced lab assistants. Computer lab also caters the need of students and staff for internet access; the campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The UG results are consistently above 85% and some of them have ranked in University merit list. Civil Engg Dept aims at establishing the R & D centre in near future.

To develop competent and Quality conscious Civil Engineers with Civic sense and overall development by providing conducive ambience to keep pace with knowledge age.

PSO

a. Graduates will demonstrate knowledge of differential equations, vector calculus, complex variables, matrix theory, probability theory, physics, chemistry and Civil Engineering

b. Graduates will demonstrate the ability to identify, formulate and solve problems pertaining to Civil Engineering

c. Graduates will demonstrate the ability to design, analyze and interpret data pertaining to Civil Engineering

d. Graduates will demonstrate the ability to visualize and work in laboratory testing, consultancy and project management tasks

e. Graduates will demonstrate skills to use modern engineering tools, softwares and equipments

f. Graduates will demonstrate knowledge of professional and ethical responsibility

g. Graduates will be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form

h. Graduates will show the understanding of impact of engineering solutions on the society and also will be aware  of contemporary issues

i. Graduates will develop confidence for self education and ability for lifelong learning

j. Graduates who can participate and succeed in competitive examination like GATE, GRE, UPSC,MPSC and all government competitive examination etc.

PEO

I. Preparation: To prepare the students to excel in post graduate programmes or to succeed in industry, technical profession through global, rigorous education. Developing the students to excel in Civil Engineering profession and providing rigorous training to face global challenges and widen their career opportunities

II. Core competency: To educate the students with a solid foundation, mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals required to solve Engineering problems and also to pursue higher studies.
