RPG Foundation and Zensar (ESD)

Culmination of RPG Foundation & Zensar, Employability Skills Development (ESD) Programme for training of Third year Engineering students towards better readiness for the IT Industry.

MoU signing Ceremony with RPG Foundation and Dr. D. Y. Patil Educational Complex, Akurdi on 9th Sept 2019.

This initiative is supported by Zensar Technologies.  Amol Nitave, ESD Program Lead, RPG Foundation and Ms. Vaishnavi Bajare , ESD Member addressed the gathering. Under this initiative, Third year engineering students will be trained on Futuristic Skills as per industry norms with a view to enhance the employability of the students.

The programme, implemented in partnership between eClerx, NASSCOM Foundation and MindMap Consulting focused on providing employability linked training to students. The training curriculum was aligned to two job roles of Analytics Associate in the Data Analytics field and Customer Relationship Management (non-Voice).

Schneider Electric India Foundation has awarded scholarship to our two students amount Rs. 50, 000/- each. INDUSTRY ACADEMIA INTERFACE – 2015

D. Y. Patil College of Engineering, Akurdi, Pune organized a two day’s Industry Academia Interface – 2015 on 26th and 27th March 2015 wherein various experts from the topnotch industries were invited to address the students and make them aware about the expectations industry has from them as Job Ready candidates. The main objective of organizing this conclave was to bring together industry personnel’s and students in order to equip the students with industry requirements, inform them the expectations of Industry from students during campus recruitment, to discuss the most critical issues about the gap in industry and academia today and educate students about the latest technological trends in order to make them job ready. Also this interaction would help the college to plan a strategy towards enhancing the employability of students. 

TECH MAHINDRA CAMPUS CONNECT PROGRAMME- 2015 

In order to strengthen the industry institute connect, Tech Mahindra Campus Connect Programme was organized on 24^th February 2015 for third year engineering students. The delegate’s form Tech Mahindra interacted with HOD’s and informed them about the expectations of Industry from Academia.  During their interaction with students, the officials informed students about the job functions in the industry, Attitudes to adapt to industrial environment, importance of communication skills, working environment in the industry, and need for student orientation to industrial disciplines.

PARTICIPATION IN SPORTS EVENTS ORGANIZED BY COMPANIES- 2015

TCS organized a Marathon for all the students of various colleges in Pune on 8th February 2015, TCS Fit4 Life Campus CHALLENGE. One of our students Mr. Nitin Singh from SE- IT secured SECOND POSITION in the 5 KM Marathon. He was awarded with a medal and a bicycle.

CAREER GUIDANCE SESSIONS FOR STUDENTS

We Invite Eminent personalities form various Industries and Institutions to lend valuable Information from their Experiences to our students. Guest Lecture is a way of enriching our students with the latest updates of the Industries and Technicalities. The Students are bestowed with knowledge about Industry needs, latest technical updates, Avenues for Higher studies etc. We also offer opportunities for all the students to interact on a consistent basis with Industries by way of visits to many renowned companies.  

ENTREPRENEUR’S   INTERNATIONAL CLUB, NIGDI

Dr. D. Y. Patil Educational Complex, Akurdi hosted the Entrepreneur’s International Club summit 2015 on 29th July 2015 at Shantai Auditorium on the occasion of birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna, J.R.D. Tata. Entrepreneurs from Nigdi, Pimpri Chinchwad, Baramati and Pune attended the   program.  The chief guest of the function, Mr. Lalit Kumar Jain – MD, Kumar Builders. The Endeavour was intended to enhance the Entrepreneurship qualities amongst the students.

HR Infotech Association – Meet 2015, Pune Chapter

HRIA is an association of HR professionals in IT industry. It is a premier institution engaged in promoting HR practices in Indian IT sector. Dr. D. Y. Patil Educational Complex, Akurdi sponsored the meet on 11^th September 2015 with an objective to develop new contacts software companies and HR Personnel’s. Participation in such events helps the institute to strengthen the Corporate – Institute Tie Ups.

MEGA ENTREPRENEUR’S MEET – 2015

Dr. D. Y. Patil Educational Complex, Akurdi hosted the biggest Entrepreneur’s meet of Pune, MEGA ENTREPRENEUR’S MEET – 2015 on 28th December 2015. It was attended by more than 1000 elite businessmen in presence of the Chief Guest – Mr. Ganesh Natrajan – CEO, Zensar Technologies, & Mr. Mukesh Malhotra – MD. WeikField, Mrs.Girija Nair, Sr. Vice President of Naaptol Online Shopping, Tehseen Poonawala, Entrepreneur and Bhupendra Singh Rathore, Business Coach.

TCS HIKARI PROGRAMME

TCS will assist the colleges to train students for Japnese Language. It is our proud privilege that the Inauguration of the TCS JAPAN Hikari Programme took place at the Shantai Auditorium on 19th January 2016. Mr. Toshimitsu Urabe, Executive Vice President and Group CEO of the Business Service Group at Mitsubishi Corporation(MC), Mr. K Ganesan, Vice President, Human Resources, TCS and Mr. TV Kamalakkannan, Chief Delivery Officer and a Member of the Board of Nihon TCS JAPAN inaugurated the event in the presence of Col. S. K. Joshi, Campus Director, Dr. D. Y. Patil Educational Complex along with the Principals, HOD’s and students.
