Message from Dean R&D

 Research and Development Cell

Message:Dean R&D

Over the years, D Y Patil College of Engineering (DYPCOE) has grown into an outstanding academic establishment in India covering varied areas of academic interests, and attracting an equally diverse faculty and student body.

Research is a precursor to discovery and innovation. DYPCOE recognizing the importance of research, has initiated rigorous R & D activities in campus. We have envisioned becoming a well known name in research and development activities. Our immediate goal is to encourage excellence in research and publication activities at Department as well as Institute level.  We are self motivated to publish quality research results in National and International Conferences and Journals.

To enrich the Learning Process among the faculties and students, we host Seminars and Workshops of well-known personalities from Academia and Industries. The R & D Cell is also getting inputs from Industries and funding Agencies.

I, as the Dean of Research and Development Cell, invite all the students joining the Institute at graduate, post graduate and doctorate level to make use of the facilities and resources offered by the Institute to nurture their talent and contribute their ideas for the growth of R & D Culture.

TPO's Message

 Dean Placement's Message

At the outset I, Jasmita Kaur, Dean Placements, Dr. D. Y. Patil Educational Complex, Akurdi, Pune welcome you to the flag ship college of Dr. D. Y. Patil Prathisthan.

The Training and Placement Cell is one of the integral part of our college. Training & Placement activities are organized throughout the year with a view to prepare the students to appear the campus recruitment process with confidence. The first year engineering students are encouraged to participate in various competetions such as debate, group discussion, power point presentation, essay writing etc. in order to enhance their confidence, reading, writing and communication skills. Students of second year engineering are trained on basic language skills in the well developed Language laboratories of the institute.  To prepare and train aspiring learners to face campus recruitment, the third year engineering students are provided with exhaustive training with relevance to communication skills, aptitude test and overall development for personal & professional grooming. These training programs give the students tips on how to crack aptitude, group discussion, interview skills and resume preparation.

The cell also educates the students with various carrier opportunities in different areas such as Public Sector, Armed forces and Government Sector services by conducting guest lecture regularly. It is heartening to state that reputed industries across the country visit our college regularly for campus recruitment. It is observed that most of the reputed companies allow students with 60 % Engineering Aggregate to appear for the Campus Recruitment Process. Majority of students with first class and good communication skills receive offer letters of reputed companies before their Technical Degree Certificate (Engineering). In order to give equal opportunity to all the students of our institute, we follow the policy of “ONE STUDENT ONE OFFER” i.e once a student is placed in a company, he / she is not permitted to appear for the successive recruitment process of other companies.

 TPO's Message

The world is evolving at a very fast pace. Current scenario demands the ability to learn, unlearn and relearn things. It has always remained a challenge for academia to produce industry ready people. At DYPCOE, our mission is to produce professionally competent engineers by providing value-based and quality education to students and to make them adaptable to ever changing demands and requirements of the world. The prime strengths of the institute are the highly competent students, dedicated and research oriented faculty, staff and the state of the art infrastructure. We share a wonderful relationship with industry as they continue to seek our assistance in various projects where our students participate actively. We have always fulfilled the expectations of our past recruiters and hope to give our best this year also. We encourage all private and government sector companies to participate in the recruitment process and we are sure that the students recruited will play pivotal role in the growth of the respective organisations.
