Department of Civil Engineering was established in 1986 and is keen in giving quality education to aspiring Civil Engineers with practical approach through adequate infrastructure. This department has given many toppers to University of Pune. A number of alumni are holding key positions in India and abroad with one motto SERVICE TO MANKIND.
Department has dedicated faculties who act as the reinforcement to build solid foundation on which students can build superstructure of their career.
Two post graduate courses in Construction & Management and Environmental Engineering are also run by the department with top ranking in terms of academic results. Excellent teaching learning process, student centric activities, conducive environment and dedicated staff are the 4 pillars of the department raising the institute above all others.
The Department of Civil Engineering is established in the year 1986. It is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and has received NBA Accreditation in Year 2003 & 2008 for 3 Yrs. Current intake for UG is 120 for first shift and 60 for second shift. The department laboratories are fully equipped with the latest equipments, licensed softwares and all necessary teaching aids. It has experienced and dynamic faculty members and experienced lab assistants. Computer lab also caters to the need of students and staff for internet access; the campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The UG results are consistently above 85% and some of them have ranked in University merit list. Civil Engg Department aims at establishing the R & D centre in near future. To develop civil engineers who are ready to accept global challenges through sound technical knowledge and environmental awareness. To develop competent and Quality conscious Civil Engineers with Civic sense and overall development of society by providing conducive ambience to keep pace with knowledge and upcoming technologies.
