Department of Civil Engineering was established in 1986 and is keen in giving quality education to aspiring Civil Engineers with practical approach through adequate infrastructure. This department has given many toppers to University of Pune. A number of alumni are holding key positions in India and abroad with one motto SERVICE TO MANKIND.

Department has dedicated faculties who  act as the reinforcement to build solid foundation  on which students can build superstructure of their career.

Two post graduate courses in Construction & Management and Environmental Engineering are also run by the department with top ranking in terms of academic results. DEPARTMENT INFORMATION

The Department of Civil Engineering is established in the year 1986. It is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and has received NBA Accreditation in Year 2003 & 2008 for 3 Yrs. Current intake for UG is 120 for first shift and 60 for second shift.

The department laboratories are fully equipped with the latest equipments, licensed softwares and all necessary teaching aids. It has experienced and dynamic faculty members and experienced lab assistants. Computer lab also caters to the need of students and staff for internet access; the campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The UG results are consistently above 85% and some of them have ranked in University merit list. Civil Engg Department aims at establishing the R & D centre in near future.

CO3 Students will be able to design column for uni-axial and bi-axial bending moment along with axial loads.

Title: Guest Lecture is organized for First Year Engineering students (A. Y. 2017-18). 

The Guest Lecture was well arranged at Shantai Sabhagrah and Dnyanprasad Sabhagrah in two sessions.

In Shantai Sabhagrah, the programme was organized by welcoming all the students and guests. Our Guest speaker Mr. Kashinath Kokil, Scientist - Grade E in Armament R&D and his colleague & our alumni Mr. Vikrant from DRDO were welcomed by Dean Academics - Dr. S. K. Babar. He delivered lecture on "Engineering the Better world". Later on he delivered Lecture in Dynanprasad Sabhgrah.

In Dnyanprasad Sabhagrah, the programme was organized by welcoming all the students and guests. Our Guest speaker Dr. Seetal Bedis, were welcomed by Dr. Mrs. M. S. Kaulgi - Asso. Prof. in Mathematics. She delivered lecture on "General Health Issues". Later on she delivered Lecture in Shantai Sabhgrah.

Title: Welcome Function & Induction Programme for Newly admitted First Year Engineering students (A. Y. 2017-18). 

Welcome Function & Induction Programme for newly admitted FE students was conducted on 1st Aug, 2017. In this function around 1000 students & their parents had attended the function. It was conducted in two sessions in “Shantai Auditorium”  In this function, Campus Director, Principal, Dean Campus Placement, Dean Campus Training and Dean Academics had addressed the gathering. Toppers of last academic year had shared their experience with the new students. Further the students who are placed in campus placement and entrepreneur also shared their views and guided Newly admitted First Year Students.
