  1. AICTE approved 3 Days F-F FDP On Introduction of Universal Human Values –I

Dr. D. Y. Patil Prathishthan’s D. Y. Patil College of Engineering, Akurdi, Pune, through the Universal Human Value (UHV) Cell, successfully organized AICTE approved 3 Days F-F FDP On Introduction of Universal Human Values –I from 19th to 21st Nov 2025.

Objectives

  1. Create awareness among teachers about the importance of Universal Human Values (UHV) in education.
  2. Encourage self-reflection and self-awareness for personal and professional growth.
  3. Develop an understanding of harmonious relationships in family, society, and nature.
  4. Strengthen ethical conduct and responsible decision-making among educators.
  5. Enable faculty to integrate value-based education into teaching and mentoring.

 

  Outcomes :

  1. Faculty gained a comprehensive understanding of the UHV framework.
  2. Participants developed skills to integrate human values into academic practices.
  3. Increased awareness of ethical and value-based decision-making.
  4. Faculty became capable of conducting value-oriented classroom discussions.
  5. Strengthened commitment towards holistic student development.

2  “Yoga Fundamentals & Activity Based Wellness for Educators”

Dr. D. Y. Patil Prathishthan’s D. Y. Patil College of Engineering, Akurdi, Pune, through the Universal Human Value (UHV) Cell, successfully organized a 5-Day Training Workshop on “Yoga Fundamentals & Activity Based Wellness for Educators” from 15th to 19th December 2025.

The workshop was conceptualized with the objective of promoting holistic well-being among educators by integrating physical fitness, mental relaxation, stress management, and activity-based wellness practices into daily academic life. The sessions were designed to be beginner-friendly, inclusive, and practical, ensuring active participation from faculty members across departments

Objectives

  1. Promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being among educators.
  2. Introduce the fundamentals of yoga and mindfulness practices.
  3. Enhance stress management and work-life balance.
  4. Encourage healthy lifestyle habits through regular wellness activities.
  5. Foster holistic development of educators.

 

 Outcomes:

  1. Participants learned basic yoga postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation methods.
  2. Improved awareness of physical fitness and mental wellness.
  3. Faculty adopted wellness practices for reducing stress.
  4. Increased motivation to incorporate wellness activities into daily routines.
  5. Enhanced overall well-being and productivity of participants.

 

3        “Poster Making Competition”

The D. Y. Patil College of Engineering organized a Poster Making Competition under the banner of the Universal Human Values Cell on 24 September 2025 at the Civil Drawing Hall, C Building from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The theme of the competition was “Building Character and Creating Harmony.”

The competition aimed to promote awareness about universal human values, ethical behaviour, harmony, and character building among students. The posters displayed originality, creativity, and meaningful messages, making the event both educational and inspiring. Winners were awarded prizes, and participation certificates were distributed to all participants to encourage student involvement in co-curricular activities

Objectives

  2. Encourage creative expression through visual communication.
  3. Develop understanding of ethical behaviour and social harmony.
  4. Foster teamwork, innovation, and critical thinking.

4. Logo Making Competition.

The D. Y. Patil College of Engineering organized a Logo Making Competition under the Universal Human Values Cell on 24 September 2025.

The event aimed to encourage creativity, design thinking, and awareness of universal human values among students. The competition created an engaging platform for students to express their ideas artistically while promoting moral and social responsibility.

Prizes were awarded to the winners, and certificates were distributed to all participants

Objectives

  1. Encourage creativity and innovative thinking among students.
  2. Promote awareness of Universal Human Values through symbolic representation.
  3. Develop design and visualization skills.
  4. Inspire students to communicate values through visual identity.
  5. Foster appreciation for ethics and social responsibility.

5. “Workshop on UHV at GG International School”

The D. Y. Patil College of Engineering Successfully conducted workshop on Universal Human Values at GGIS for faculty members. The session was focused on Promoting value- based education and holistic development among educators.

 Objectives

  1. Introduce Universal Human Values to school educators.
  2. Promote value-based teaching practices.
  3. Encourage holistic development of teachers and students.
  4. Strengthen collaboration between higher education institutions and schools.
  5. Share best practices in value-based education.

  2. Participants understood the significance of integrating values into education.

 6. Dr Latika Desai Dean UHV Served as a panelist for 10th international conference on Human values in higher education at SRM.

 Objectives

  4. To provide a platform for researchers and academicians to share their research findings and best practices.

7.VISIT TO PRERANA BHAVAN

 The Universal Human Values (UHV) Cell organized a visit to Prerana Bhavan, an orphanage located at Thathawade, Pimpri-Chinchwad, as part of its value-based extension activities. The visit was conducted exclusively by UHV Cell faculty members. Prerana Bhavan is home to elderly people, young girls, and differently-abled individuals. The visit aimed to promote Universal Human Values through service, interaction, and compassionate engagement.

Objectives

  • To develop empathy and compassion by understanding the feelings, needs, and aspirations of the residents.
  • To foster the values of trust, respect, affection, and mutual care through meaningful interaction and participation.
  • To promote social responsibility through community service.
  • To experience harmonious relationships and coexistence with fellow human beings.
  • To inspire commitment towards continuous service and value-based living for the welfare of society.

Outcomes

  • Enhanced sensitivity and empathy towards underprivileged children and their well-being.
  • Strengthened understanding of Universal Human Values such as trust, respect, affection, care, and responsibility.
  • Improved sense of social commitment and willingness to participate in community service activities.
