Global Immersion 2026: Bridging Academics and Global Industry in Dubai

From 16th February to 20th February 2026, a group of 18 students from the ENTC and IT departments, led by Dr. Rutuja Deshmukh (HoD ENTC) and Dr. Aarti Jadhav Patil (Deputy CEO), embarked on a transformative International Immersion Program to Dubai, UAE. The program was strategically designed to provide students with global exposure, practical industry insights, and an understanding of international business practices in a world-class innovation ecosystem.

Program Highlights

  1. Futuristic Infrastructure & Modern Engineering The immersion began with a deep dive into Dubai’s architectural and technological excellence. Students visited the Museum of the Future, exploring cutting-edge AI and sustainability concepts, followed by a panoramic view of urban transformation at the Dubai Frame. The day concluded with an evening visit to the Burj Khalifa, where students gained insights into advanced construction technologies used in the world’s tallest building.
  2. Academic Excellence & Tech-Diplomacy Students visited the American University in Dubai, gaining exposure to international education standards. A key highlight was a specialized technical lecture on Cybersecurity delivered by Dr. Ahmad Salman, focusing on emerging global threats, data protection, and business intelligence.
  3. Industrial Excellence & Digital Strategy The program included high-impact industrial visits to:
  • Black Swan: Where students explored data-driven business models, digital transformation stacks (SaaS/PaaS), and agile management practices.
  • Travco: An in-depth look at large-scale operations management, supply chain integration, and logistics engineering within the global tourism sector.
  1. Cultural & Market Exposure Beyond technical learning, students engaged in a market study at the Gift Village and Meena Bazaar to understand retail dynamics and consumer behavior . Cultural integration was further enhanced through a traditional Desert Safari and a Dhow Cruise dinner.
